The "Ouray" was built by Pullman in 1883 as the "Salt Lake, a Plan 178 car that ran in Pullman service between Denver and Ogden until 1902 when it was purchased by the D&RG and converted to a parlor car and renamed "Ouray" and served as such until 1938.  A unique car in that most of the passenger cars had 42' bodies, the plan 178 cars had 48' bodies. Definitely something different for your roster!

This kit comprises fine laser cut woods, etched nickel silver and brass hardware, injected plastic hardware, 3D printed ABS hardware, complete accurate lettering, and window glazing. These kits showcase a revolutionary design concept that allows for quick and easy roof construction with virtually no filling and sanding while yielding perfect curves every time. These cars are designed to allow the builder to add a fully detailed interior that includes the area immediately under the roof.

As you might imagine, this is one esoteric offering and won't be in production very long...

The correct trucks for these cars were Pullman 6' wheelbase trucks. These are available separately in limited numbers. These trucks are cast in brass with a full set of etched brass brake levers and clevis. Every detail is included.
