The Plan 178 had the 48' body, noticeably longer than the typical 42' Plan 73 and Tourist cars. These cars were built in Detroit by Pullman in 1883. Those cars that were operated over the D&RG include:
- Castle Gate
- Ogden (to become Delores)
- Provo (to become Durango)
- Salt Lake (to become Ouray)
The NCO operated the Waverly and the Madeleine.
Each kit comprises of precision laser cut wood, precision sawn cut wood, brass and nickel silver etchings, 3D printed ABS, injected plastic components and full lettering and glazing. The correct 6' wheelbase trucks are available separately. The design of the kit is such that should you want to add a detailed interior, you can very easily. The precision of the components and innovative design ensures a pleasurable build.
A thank you to all who pre-order. This is a huge help to me as it facilitates accurate planning. These kits are a labor of love but still a lot of work to produce. Thanks!
