The WMC C-16 is a classic model if there ever was and it is still as nicely detailed a model that you will find. The challenge is getting them to run nicely. Equipped with a honking open frame motor that engulfs the cab with a 24:1 wormgear, the drive leaves much to be desired.
And now this. This is a replacement drive for that beauty that has a coreless motor with a 2.4:1 gear reduction and ball bearings that screws into the exact same place the original motor screwed into. Take the old motor out, and screw this new drive in. Attach wires and you are off and running but instead of a 24:1 open frame motor drive, you have a 57:1 coreless drive that is completely inside the cab. Basic installation takes 10-15 minutes with another few minutes to check alignment and adjust and connect the wires. NOTE: the opening in the rear wall of the cab will have to be raised to allow installation of the boiler on the frame. This is easily done with a file or nibbler.
