Pullman ran several types of services on the rails. The Palace cars were plush and opulent while the Tourist cars were more intended for the less to do. Sometimes these were referred to as immigrant sleepers. Pullman built 10 of these numbered cars (Palace cars were named) and on the D&RG these numbers were 461-470. Number 470 was recently masterfully rebuilt by the Cumbres & Toltec and if you are lucky, you can ride it!
This kit comprises fine laser cut woods, etched nickel silver and brass hardware, injected plastic hardware, 3D printed ABS hardware, complete accurate gold leaf lettering, and window glazing. These kits showcase a revolutionary design concept that allows for quick and easy roof construction with virtually no filling and sanding while yielding perfect curves every time. These cars are designed to allow the builder to add a fully detailed interior that includes the area immediately under the roof.
As you might imagine, this is one esoteric offering and won't be in production very long...
The correct trucks for these cars were Pullman 6' wheelbase trucks. These are available separately in limited numbers. These trucks are cast in brass with a full set of etched brass brake levers and clevis. Every detail is included.
